I’m talking about them spun tweaky birds.

The lights have gone out in the dorm. iPhones have ass for battery life. The guest Wi-Fi has ass for range. I’m gonna try to smoke a whole cigarette by myself.

iPhone battery life is indeed dogshit. I've never regretted switching to Android... really great phones. Even the cheap ones are great.

I’m gonna try to make enough to buy a cheap Android burner this week. The last one I had was a ZTE that I got at Walmart for $30 or so. It wasn’t a bad little fone.

Yeah they are great... like, you can't expect them to be a freaking gaming computer level of fast and whatever, but they just WORK man. They really do. Without all that elitist Apple crap. I couldn't believe the shit they installed on those iPhones during the CV insanity, it made me even more glad I didn't fuck with iPhone anymore. Plus, no headphone jack??? Pft. Absolutely unacceptable.

Pretty sure Apple/iPhone got hacked for like the first time ever in August too. I didn't really read into it too much, I did update any Apple devices I do have after I heard it though.

The computer I do most of my internet fun timez on is a 2016 Windoze desktop, and it's still running along like a FUCKINGGGG champ. I am impressed... and I didn't expect to be.

I will say though, I got a super lite 'netbook' kinda Windows laptop back in 2016, and that sumbitch was awesome, WHILE it worked. By 2020, the fucker wouldn't even boot up within like 10 minutes. It was a bit puzzling actually. It almost seemed like they had it preprogrammed to shit out after a certain amount of time... wouldn't be surprised. It was a clean machine too, there was nothing corrupted on it, always had antivirus installed and really ran beautifully up until it suddenly didn't for some kinda suspicious reason I fully blame the manufacturer for. Didn't work y'all. I didn't run out and buy a new one, so I guess you lose. It was a Lenovo.

My Lenovo desktop runs Ubuntu quite well.

The only Apple product I ever truly loved, and still do, is my 2009 iPod Nano. It has one job, and does it extremely well. I leave it in my glove box connected to the car stereo and seldom fuck with that setup.

I had a mega old iPod and it stopped working, which actually really surprised me. I guess it's not that shocking though since I had lost it for YEARS inside a glove compartment regularly subjected to boiling heat. Maaaybe that explains it.

My iPhone 4S worked super well too until I spilled water right inside the power port a couple years ago. I'm still salty about that one.

I got a 256GB storage iPod back in like 2019 that worked like shit right out of the gate... some weird kinda charging problem.

Apple seems to be a hit or miss these days. My 2016 iMac was slower than Christmas until I completely wiped/reinstalled it a few months back and now it runs like a new one.

It’s raining today. It’s a lot cooler outside now. I figured the summer weather wouldn’t break until the third week of September, when the state fair is in town. It always rains the entire week of the state fair. You’d think they’d choose a different week to have it.

It had stopped raining and cleared out by the time I got out of the shower. Good thing because I had to bring my pillow and blankets in from the car, and I didn’t want them to get wet.

I’m tired as fuck. It’s hard to get any sleep around here, what with the circus every night. There are loud snorers on either side of me.

God I hate snoring. Seriously. Legitimately the worst.

At least people can sleep through their own snoring, like even though it totally disrupts peoples' sleep when they snore, you almost never actually HEAR yourself snoring even when it's what wakes you up.

But yeah, it's true... the days are already getting noticeably shorter and whatnot.

You can already tell the sun is waning in intensity.

I've been sort of obsessed with learning about the best times of the year for vit. D synthesis and I came across this map today...

First time in my life I've ever realized how it all works...

I think living in any area that doesn't have AT LEAST SOME synthesis all year round is a fucking terrible idea. Fuck those places.

I was prescribed a vitamin D supplement despite it being sunny all summer.

I record the offenders and play it for them to enjoy . I also make loud noises to disrupt their sleep

Yeah I mean... apparently we need A LOT of vitamin D.

Smack me, I mean for real, just smack me but I'ma say it... it's unnatural for us to live in these places that get ridiculously cold in the winter and have SHIT for vitamin D synthesis even in the summer months... the higher north, the dumber.

Unless you're an Eskimo eating whale blubber, you are nottttttt living an optimal life in the north... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20441671

Diet is the ONLY way to get it in the north.

The northern USA is not the optimal place to live.

Anywhere above the 33rd parallel is not optimal... the southernmost states are the only place to be, in the winter at least.

People shouldn't have to be anywhere near those who snore...

If someone expects you to sleep with/near them even though they snore, you are being abused. Straight up.

I mean, technically the 36th parallel is the cutoff for any useful chance for vitamin D in the winter.

But some states are close enough to optimal year round... Arizona, NM, TX, and so on.

Arizona is the new Florida.

The reason white people are white is because they can supposedly synthesize vitamin D more readily in northern climes.
